One app instead of three
Debugging an API usually means a proxy in one window, a request client in another and notes in a third, with data copied between them by hand. In Microkoi it is a single workspace.
01 Capture
Start the proxy and use your app as usual. Every request is there in full: headers, body, status and a real response time.
02 Replay
The “To requests” button opens an exchange in the API client. A whole branch of the endpoint tree can be saved as a collection, one file per request.
03 Replace
The “Make mock” button turns a response into a proxy rule. Change the status, body and delay and see how your app copes with failure.

Microkoi does not hide your data in a cloud or ask for an account. Everything you type is stored as plain files in a folder you choose — keep it right in your repository and get your teammates’ changes through git.

A debugging tool, not a black box
Intercepting HTTPS takes trust. That is why Microkoi works in the open and on your machine.
A certificate of your own
The root certificate is generated on first launch and is unique to your installation. No shared keys ship with the app.
Network access is your call
By default the proxy listens only on 127.0.0.1. Phone connections are enabled by a separate toggle and are always visible on screen.
Nothing extra is decrypted
Hosts outside the filter pass through an opaque tunnel: your bank and mail keep working, and their traffic is never read or stored.
No telemetry
The app never sends us your traffic, your requests or usage statistics.

What is Microkoi?
A desktop app for developers and QA engineers that combines an intercepting HTTP and HTTPS proxy, a client for sending API requests, response mocks, mock servers, endpoint monitoring and Markdown notes. All project data is kept in one folder on your computer.
Which systems does Microkoi run on?
The beta runs on macOS 13 or later (Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows 10 and 11, and Linux as .deb and .rpm packages for x86-64 and ARM64.
Is the app available in English?
The beta interface is in Russian for now, and English is in development. The website and the guide are already in English.
Can I capture traffic from a phone?
Yes. The Device button on the traffic screen walks you through setup: allow connections from the local network, set the proxy in the phone’s Wi-Fi settings and install the certificate from a QR code. Android emulators and the iOS simulator are supported too.
How much does Microkoi cost?
Every feature is free during the beta. The terms after version 1.0 will be published on this website in advance.
Do I need to sign up or create an account?
No. The app works without an account and without connecting to our servers. Collections, mocks, notes and captured traffic stay in the folder you choose.
Is it safe to install the root certificate?
The certificate is generated on your computer, is unique to your installation and becomes trusted only after you confirm it with your password. You can remove it at any time. Hosts outside the capture filter are never decrypted at all.
Can I keep requests in git alongside my project?
Yes, that is the main idea. Every request, environment, mock and note is a separate text file. The traffic database and send history are excluded from git automatically.
